Acrylic glass machining
Acrylic glass processing for further processing. We are able to process acrylic glass precisely in various shapes and sizes.
Acrylic glass processing covers a wide range of processes for working with plastics, such as laser cutting, bonding, polishing, bending and more. Cutting acrylic glass sheets or acrylic glass discs to size is also part of this.
Our modern machines and qualified staff make it possible to process acrylic glass (PLEXIGLAS®) and other plastics precisely in a variety of shapes and sizes.
Acrylic glass cut to size
Our cutting services cover various plastics, including acrylic glass (PLEXIGLAS®), which are cut precisely to size. We offer custom plastic sheet cut pieces with a width of up to 2200x1600 mm and a material thickness of up to 30 mm.
Laser processing of acrylic glass
For contact-free cutting of acrylic glass (PLEXIGLAS®) we use several CO₂ laser machines. Sheets with a size of up to 2200x1600 mm and a thickness of up to 30 mm can be processed. We produce custom shapes, 3D lettering, contours, numbers and letters to your specifications. Outline engravings are also possible, based on your vector data (e.g. EPS, DXF, PDF and many more). Our processing tolerance is < +/- 0.1 mm.
CNC processing
3- and 5-axis CNC machining centres are available for producing demanding milled parts from acrylic glass and polycarbonate. Acrylic glass (PLEXIGLAS®), polycarbonate (MAKROLON®) and other plastics are processed with the highest precision. Our staff create the programs for the CNC machines based on your drawings or take your data directly as STEP, DXF etc. Our XXL milling machines offer a working area of 3500x2000x250 mm.
Bonding acrylic glass
Acrylic glass (PLEXIGLAS®), polycarbonate (MAKROLON®) and other plastics can be permanently and firmly joined using the right adhesives. Thanks to our many years of experience, we create bonded joints that are almost free of visible impairment – particularly important in exhibition stand construction, for display cases and in trade fair construction.
Forming acrylic glass
Our special ovens are used for forming thermoplastics such as acrylic glass (PLEXIGLAS®) and polycarbonate (MAKROLON®). These devices make it possible to heat sheet material up to a size of 3050x2050 mm and bring it into the desired shape. Curved discs, blown hemispheres and many other shapes can be realised in this way.
Bending/curving acrylic glass
When bending acrylic glass, only one zone of the material is heated, which enables precise bends. With our bending benches, radii can be produced to customer requirements. We process materials with a length of up to 3100 mm at a production tolerance of < +/- 0.5 mm.
Cut pieces from acrylic glass and polycarbonate
We offer you custom-made cut pieces from acrylic glass (PLEXIGLAS®), polycarbonate (MAKROLON®) and other plastics. Our carbide saw blades ensure precise cuts and clean edges, whether for series production or one-off items. On our Mayer PS100, many plastics can be cut to size, e.g. rigid foam sheets (FOREX®) or aluminium/PE composite sheets (DIBOND®).
Polishing and matting acrylic glass
Acrylic glass (PLEXIGLAS®) is distinguished by excellent light transmission of up to 92%. The edges of the material can be polished so that they visually match the surface. For high-quality parts used, for example, in exhibitions or interior fitting, we offer polishing and matting services. Our diamond polishing milling machine enables a production length of up to 2000 mm for linear edges.
