CO₂ laser cutting

CO₂ laser cutting for precise plastic cut pieces with fine details and smooth edges. Perfect for industry – find out more now!

CO₂ laser cutting allows plastic parts to be cut particularly finely and precisely – entirely without mechanical stress. The non-contact processing enables complex contours, smooth cut edges and delicate details with high repeat accuracy.

Whether individual parts or series production, this process is ideal for demanding industrial applications where precision, efficiency and gentle handling of the material are required.

How does CO₂ laser cutting work?

CO₂ laser cutting uses a highly intensive infrared beam that is amplified by CO₂ gas and directed via mirrors. When it hits the material, its surface is immediately vaporised or melted, creating a precise cut. Targeted control of the laser makes it possible to realise complex geometries and fine contours with the highest accuracy.

Exact contours and flawless cut edges

Thanks to non-contact laser technology, extremely fine cut edges are produced that require no post-processing. Even delicate geometries, tight radii or complicated internal cut-outs can be realised with maximum precision. The high energy density of the laser cuts the material exactly, without thermal deformation or fraying at the cut edges.

A variety of materials for the most diverse applications

We cut a broad range of plastics, including acrylic glass (PMMA), polycarbonate, POM, PETG and many other engineering plastics. Our experts advise you on the optimum choice of material in order to perfectly meet both optical and mechanical requirements. Laser cutting produces smooth cut surfaces that are ideal for transparent materials or visually demanding applications.

Efficiency, speed and repeat accuracy

With our CO₂ laser technology we achieve a high cutting speed and exact reproducibility even at high unit volumes. The computer-controlled process guarantees that every workpiece is manufactured to a consistent quality. There are also no tooling costs, as no physical cutting tools are required. This makes the process particularly economical for small to medium-sized series.

Environmental friendliness and sustainability

CO₂ laser cutting is not only efficient but also environmentally friendly. As it is a contactless process, there is no mechanical stress or tool wear. The precise material removal also reduces waste to a minimum, thereby conserving resources.

Custom solutions and expert advice

In addition to the processing itself, we are on hand to advise you in developing the optimum laser cutting strategy for your project. Whether special cutting contours, engravings or a combination of cutting and marking – we offer solutions perfectly tailored to your requirements.
