High-performance plastics

Thermoset plastics

Selecting the suitable engineering plastic
The selection depends on the specific operating conditions. Important criteria are service temperature, mechanical load, chemical contact, wear, electrical properties and required tolerances.
Materials such as POM, PA or PET are suitable for numerous classic machine components. High-performance plastics such as PEEK, PPS or PEI are used when higher temperatures, aggressive media or particular purity requirements must be taken into account.
