Description
PEEK plastic sheets cut to size
PEEK (polyetheretherketone) is a high-temperature-resistant, semi-crystalline high-performance plastic that is particularly suitable for precise PEEK cut pieces and PEEK sheets. The material combines exceptional mechanical strength, outstanding chemical resistance and very low creep behaviour – even at continuous service temperatures of up to 260 °C.
We produce PEEK sheets cut to size for applications that demand the highest load-bearing capacity and maximum dimensional stability. This makes PEEK suitable for components used in critical or safety-relevant systems, for example in mechanical engineering, aerospace or the defence sector.
Manufacturing process for PEEK sheets
PEEK sheets are produced by extrusion or by pressing processes. Extruded PEEK sheets are characterised by a very homogeneous material structure and good surface quality and are therefore ideally suited for dimensionally accurate PEEK cut pieces. Pressed sheets are suitable for large-format semi-finished products and for components that require high stiffness and maximum dimensional stability. Both variants can be precisely further processed, for example by milling, turning or grinding.
PEEK for defence, aerospace and mechanical engineering
In the defence industry, PEEK is used for functionally critical components that must operate reliably in high temperature ranges, under strong radiation or in mechanically demanding environments. The combination of strength, dimensional stability and media resistance makes PEEK a preferred material for components in demanding systems. Further information can be found in the industry profile under Defence industry.
In aerospace, PEEK impresses with its low weight, constant mechanical properties and very good fire and smoke gas performance. Components such as insulators, guide and bearing components or housing parts benefit from the high purity and excellent insulating properties of the material.
In mechanical engineering, PEEK is frequently used for highly stressed functional components. Typical applications are plain bearings, gears, guide rails, pump components and precise CNC finished parts. Suitable manufacturing options can be found under CNC milled parts and further under Plastic machining.
PEEK semi-finished products
The range of PEEK semi-finished products includes sheets, rods, tubes, hollow bars and thin-walled films. These semi-finished products form the basis for technical components that place the highest demands on temperature resistance, dimensional accuracy and chemical resistance. PEEK rods are particularly suitable for turned parts, bearing bodies and insulating components. Further information can be found under PEEK rods. A complete overview is provided by the page Plastic semi-finished products.
PEEK types and variants
PEEK natural forms the universal standard type with high purity. PEEK black is UV-resistant and antistatic. PEEK GF30 offers particularly high stiffness and dimensional stability thanks to the glass fibre content. PEEK CF30 combines low weight with high strength. Modified variants such as PEEK TF10 show excellent sliding properties or electrical conductivity for specialised industrial requirements.
PEEK granulate and material development
PEEK is produced from high-purity granulate, which is extruded or pressed under defined conditions. The quality of the granulate has a decisive influence on surface finish, mechanical properties and long-term stability. For technical cut pieces, a consistent granulate quality is crucial in order to ensure consistently high precision and material homogeneity.
The development of PEEK began in the 1980s, when a material was sought that offers significantly higher temperature, media and load limits than conventional engineering plastics. Since then, PEEK has established itself as a standard material in areas where functional safety and reliability are indispensable.
Advantages of precise PEEK cut pieces
A PEEK cut piece to size offers high process reliability, as every component is matched exactly to the required geometry. Tight tolerances, high-quality extruded semi-finished products and precise further processing enable reproducible results with high dimensional accuracy. The cut pieces form the basis for durable and resilient functional components in technically demanding industries.
Properties of PEEK sheets
PEEK is known for its high continuous service temperature of up to +260°C, which makes this plastic particularly suitable for applications in extreme environments. Its outstanding radiation and chemical resistance as well as its good sliding properties and hydrolysis resistance make PEEK an almost universal material. Thanks to these properties, PEEK is ideal for components exposed to high mechanical and thermal loads.
PEEK sheet cut pieces
We offer PEEK sheet cut pieces in a wide variety of sizes, manufactured individually to your requirements. This allows you to tailor the material requirement precisely to your needs while reducing the amount of waste and processing costs. Our cut pieces are manufactured precisely and can be further processed for specific applications, for example by milling, drilling, sawing or bonding.
The high temperature resistance, the mechanical strength and the chemical resistance of PEEK make this material an indispensable component for engineers and designers.

PEEK sheets
PEEK sheets are produced from granulated PEEK material, which is compacted into sheets under heat and pressure. PEEK sheets are available in various thicknesses and dimensions and can be machined for a wide range of applications, e.g. by milling, drilling, sawing and bonding.
PEEK sheet cut pieces
PEEK sheet cut pieces are PEEK sheets that are cut to the desired dimensions. This can be done by various processes, e.g. by milling, laser cutting or waterjet cutting. PEEK sheet cut pieces offer a number of advantages over unmachined PEEK sheets, as they can reduce the material requirement, decrease the amount of waste and lower processing costs.
