Polyethylene PE from the group of polymers
These are governed by DIN EN ISO 1043-1:2016-09 and DIN EN ISO 18064:2015-03. This plastic is used in mechanical engineering because of its high wear resistance. In addition, this plastic can withstand high dynamic loads and has self-lubricating properties. The high abrasion resistance, sliding properties, impact strength, performance at temperatures up to 200 degrees Celsius as well as noise damping and stress-crack resistance speak for its numerous possible applications.
