chemical corrosion
Chemical corrosion must be avoided, so chemically resistant plastics are used. These, such as polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF), polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) and polyfluoroalkoxy copolymers (PFA), offer excellent resistance to aggressive chemicals and high temperatures due to their high fluorine content.
Fluoroplastics are characterised by strong molecular bonds, which give them outstanding resistance to chemicals, radiation, UV light and heat.
