Chemical-resistant fluoroplastics
Chemically resistant fluoroplastics are particularly resistant to chemical corrosion. With a higher fluorine content, their resistance to aggressive chemicals and high temperatures increases. Polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF), polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) and polyfluoroalkoxy copolymers (PFA) are among the thermoplastics with the best chemical resistance.
The strong molecular bonding forces of fluorine give these materials outstanding resistance to chemicals, radiation, UV light and heat.
