anti-fog coating

An anti-fog coating is achieved by the AF coating of plastic surfaces with a thermally curing acrylate. This coating is hydrophilic and is effective against fogging. Compared with simply sprayed-on wetting agents, this method is long-lasting and permanent.

It can also be applied in closed assemblies to plastic parts made of polycarbonate and polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) without substantially impairing the transparency of the plastic parts. The thickness of the coating is 1 to 5 µm.
