Transmission test device
The transmission test device is a specialised instrument for measuring the optical transmission of plastics. It is mainly used for tests in accordance with DVS guideline 2243. During these tests, the laser radiation transmitted through the plastic is captured and measured. The value of the radiation intensity determined in this process without a specimen in the beam path serves as a reference value in order to calibrate and evaluate the measurement results precisely.
The application of the transmission test device extends, for example, to the assessment of joined connections. This is particularly relevant in areas in which the quality and integrity of the connection of plastic parts are crucial. By measuring the transmission, conclusions can be drawn about the material properties and the quality of the joined connections, which in turn helps to ensure the desired material properties and the reliability of the end products.
The transmission test device thus enables a precise and reliable assessment of the optical properties of plastics, which is of great importance for a wide range of industrial applications.
