Thermoplastic
Thermoplastics are a versatile group of plastics that offer a fascinating property: they deform under heat by melting, which makes it possible to shape them into different forms. This process occurs once the softening point has been reached and allows the material to be formed while warm.
Once the desired shape has been achieved and the material cools, it solidifies again but retains its new form. What is special about thermoplastics is that this process can be repeated again and again, as long as the decomposition temperature is not reached.
This property makes thermoplastics extremely versatile and suitable for a wide range of applications, from plastics processing through to the manufacture of medical devices.
