Reinforced Reaction Injection Moulding
Reinforced Reaction Injection Moulding (RRIM) is an advanced variant of the RIM process in which liquid components such as polyols and caprolactam are reinforced with solids such as glass beads, glass fibres or mineral fibres. In contrast to the conventional RIM process, special reinforcing materials are embedded in the material in RRIM, which leads to a significant improvement in the mechanical properties of the plastic parts.
Through these embedded reinforcements, the manufactured parts gain strength, durability and rigidity, which makes them particularly suitable for applications that must withstand high loads or extreme conditions. This method makes it possible to manufacture plastic products with improved performance and a broader range of applications, which makes RRIM a preferred choice in various industrial sectors where robustness and reliability are required.
