Embossing
Embossing is a process in which an embossing tool acts under pressure on a plastic surface. This pressure creates a relief that reshapes the surface of the material. The embossing tools can be diverse and range from steel type to rigid or oscillating needles to type wheels or dies.
There are various variants of the embossing process, each with its own particular characteristics. A key difference lies, for example, in whether the embossing tool is heated during the process or not. In some cases, the tool is used hot, while in other processes it remains cold.
