Photopolymer resin
Photopolymers are special resins that possess a particular property: they polymerise, that is, they cross-link and cure when exposed to high-energy UV light. This curing process is triggered by the UV radiation, which causes the molecules in the resin to react with one another and form stable bonds. This produces a solid and robust material.
Photopolymer resins are frequently used in additive manufacturing, particularly in 3D printing. Here they enable the production of highly precise and detailed components. However, their application also extends to other areas, such as dentistry for the production of dental prostheses or electronics for the production of circuit boards. The ability to cure quickly under UV light makes photopolymer resins a valuable material in numerous industrial and medical applications.
