Modularity
Modularity is a concept that divides the structure of an assembly into several mutually interchangeable components. These components can then be recombined on a modular basis to create different assemblies.
In modular systems, moulded parts can be used extremely versatilely. Through processes such as injection moulding and thermoplastic foam moulding, we can produce plastic parts whose contour is defined by a specific mould.
Even at low unit prices, moulded parts can exhibit a high level of functional integration, which makes them ideal candidates for intelligently designed interfaces. This enables flexible adaptation and reuse in different contexts, which increases the efficiency and versatility of products.
