Melamine/phenolic resin

Melamine/phenolic resin is a thermoset based on a special phenol-modified melamine resin and filled with a mixture of cellulose and mineral filler. This combination gives the material a wide range of special properties that make it particularly suitable for various applications.

The outstanding properties include high rigidity and strength, which give the material excellent structural integrity. It is also characterised by high surface hardness, which makes it resistant to abrasion and thus increases its durability.

In terms of electrical properties, melamine/phenolic resin offers outstanding performance with very good electrical properties and high tracking resistance. This makes it particularly suitable for applications where electrical insulation is of crucial importance. It also meets the UL 94 V-0 requirements, which means that it meets high standards with regard to fire protection.
