GRP
GRP, also known as glass-fibre reinforced plastic, is a versatile material used in various applications. It consists of a composite material produced by adding glass fibres to a plastic resin. These glass fibres give the material strength and rigidity, while the plastic resin provides flexibility and malleability.
In the German-speaking world, GRP is often referred to as glass-fibre reinforced plastic (GFK). This designation highlights the main component of the material, namely the glass fibres embedded in a plastic matrix. This combination makes GRP an ideal material for many applications, from boat hulls to car parts and structural components.
