Centrifugal casting
Centrifugal casting is a process in which centrifugal force is used to achieve optimum mould filling. Rotationally symmetrical machine elements such as bushes, rings, sprockets or gears are produced.
In centrifugal casting, liquid caprolactam is poured into a rapidly rotating mould, where it is transported to the inner wall of the mould by centrifugal force and polymerised there. The mechanical properties of the semi-finished products and finished parts produced from it are very good, and the material has a dense structure.
