Mould core
Mould cores are crucial for shaping a plastic part. They displace material and form the contour of the cavity in the tool. In simple open-and-shut moulds, the core is typically located on the ejector side. There are various types of mould cores, including sliding cores for lateral or internal contours, folding cores for internal undercuts and lost fusible cores for media-carrying internal contours.
