Spring hinges
Spring hinges, also known as snap hinges, are a further developed type of film hinge with two stable end positions: open and closed. They use a spring-loaded four-bar linkage principle to reach the two end positions in addition to the hinge groove of the film hinge. These are mainly used in injection-moulded parts made of polypropylene (PP) and require that the spring element is almost relieved in both rest states, which represents an important requirement for plastic spring elements.
