Ethylene/vinyl acetate
Ethylene/vinyl acetate (E/VA) is a copolymer based on polyethylene. It improves elasticity, weather resistance and stress-crack resistance, and offers rubber-elastic properties. However, its chemical resistance is lower than that of pure polyethylene. Typical applications are seals, bellows and closures. Foamed with a blowing agent, E/VA is also used as sponge rubber with largely closed cells.
