Single-component injection moulding
Single-component injection moulding is a process in the field of injection moulding in which only a single plastic is used. In contrast to two-component injection moulding or multi-component injection moulding, in which several materials can be combined, single-component injection moulding concentrates on the processing of a single type of plastic.
The plastic is introduced in liquid form into an injection moulding machine, where it is injected under pressure into a mould. This process is used in numerous branches of industry and offers an efficient way of producing precisely shaped plastic parts.
