Flatness
Flatness describes the planarity of a surface in conjunction with its permissible form tolerance. It is important for sliding surfaces, stop surfaces and other functional surfaces of plastic parts. On technical drawings it is indicated with the symbol of the lying rhombus and tolerance limits. The tolerance zone is bounded by two parallel planes that are imagined relative to the given surface.
