Additive Manufacturing
Additive manufacturing is a process in which three-dimensional objects are built up layer by layer by adding material layer by layer, in contrast to traditional subtractive manufacturing methods, in which material is removed from a solid block to obtain the desired shape.
A well-known example of additive manufacturing is 3D printing, in which digital models are converted into physical objects by applying layers of material (typically plastic, metal or ceramic) on top of one another until the desired object is created.
Additive manufacturing enables greater design freedom, faster prototype development and the production of complex structures, which makes it a revolutionary technology in various industries such as aerospace, medical technology, automotive engineering and many others.
