Waterjet cutting
Waterjet cutting has established itself as an extremely effective separation process for a wide variety of plastics. This method uses a high-pressure water jet that hits the material at three times the speed of sound. As a result, sheet goods can be cut precisely or already manufactured parts can be deburred.
The machine that carries out this process is controlled precisely by a CNC controller. This allows the nozzle head of the water jet to navigate freely and thus realise complex cutting patterns and shapes. This technology enables the production of various products such as cut pieces, discs or complex finished parts with high accuracy and efficiency.
A remarkable feature of waterjet cutting is the versatility it offers. Thanks to swivelling nozzle heads, bevelled cuts are also possible without difficulty, which considerably expands the range of applications. This flexibility makes waterjet cutting a preferred choice in many industries, including the automotive industry, aerospace, mechanical engineering and even food processing, where precision and cleanliness are of crucial importance.
