Heat treatment

Heat treatment is an essential process in manufacturing technology that aims to specifically modify the properties of a workpiece by exposing it to specific temperature conditions or a controlled temperature profile.

Through this process, various material properties such as hardness, strength, toughness or corrosion resistance can be optimised. In doing so, the material properties are changed at a molecular level, which can lead to improved performance and longevity of the workpiece. Heat treatment is therefore an indispensable step in the production of high-quality components and parts for a wide range of applications in industry and technology.
