thermoplastic copolyester elastomers
Thermoplastic copolyester elastomers (TPE-C) are a special class of thermoplastic elastomers based on polyester copolymers. Unlike conventional elastomers, which are permanently cross-linked by vulcanisation or chemical curing, TPE-Cs can be softened and shaped when heated and solidified again on cooling, which increases their versatility and adaptability in various applications.
A well-known example of TPE-C is Hytrel (TPC-ET), which is widely used in various industries due to its excellent mechanical properties and chemical resistance. Likewise, Keyflex is a trade name for TPE-C that is used in various products.
