Injection moulding
Plastic injection moulding is an extremely efficient and fully automated process for the production of injection-moulded parts. This method enables highly rational production, which means that large quantities of parts can be produced in a relatively short time.
Over time, injection moulding has developed into one of the most efficient processes for shaping thermoplastic and thermosetting plastics. As early as 1935, there were around 150 injection moulding companies in Germany, which initially mainly processed standard plastics such as polystyrene. Since then, the variety of processable materials has expanded considerably.
Nowadays, injection moulding offers the broadest spectrum of materials for shaping. From traditional plastics to highly specialised materials, manufacturers have numerous options available to meet the requirements of the most diverse applications.
