Shore hardness
Shore hardness is an important parameter for determining the hardness of materials. It is usually measured with a special indenter that is pressed onto the surface of the material. The penetration depth is measured, which provides information about the hardness of the material.
This process takes place under defined conditions, whereby the force exerted on the indenter is generated by a precisely calibrated spring. This method enables precise and reproducible measurement of the hardness of various materials, which is of great importance particularly in areas such as materials testing, quality assurance and product development.
