selective laser sintering
Selective laser sintering (SLS) is an advanced layering technology that makes it possible to create prototypes quickly and precisely by using a laser beam to apply energy based on your 3D CAD data. This process, also known as rapid prototyping, takes place without the need for conventional tools and is fully automated.
The process begins with the conversion of your CAD solid models into the STL file format, which consists of a large number of extremely thin layers. These layers form the basis for building the prototype. Once the STL data has been transferred to the laser sintering machine, the machine springs into action and begins to build the prototype layer by layer.
Here, the laser beam is precisely controlled in order to fuse the material in accordance with the CAD data and thus form the desired prototype. The entire process takes place automatically and enables efficient and reliable production of prototypes without the need for complex tools.
