Welding
Welding is an essential process for the cohesive and practically inseparable joining of components and semi-finished products. This is achieved by the targeted melting of one or both of the joining partners to be connected under the influence of thermal energy. Contact pressure is often applied to ensure a stable connection.
During welding, the materials concerned, whether metal or thermoplastics, are heated locally to above their melting point. This makes it possible to unite them in a liquid state and thus produce a firm connection. The process requires precise temperature control and know-how to ensure that the resulting connection meets the requirements for strength and durability.
