Extruder
Screw machines are specialised machines that are used for processing moulding compounds. These machines include various types such as injection moulding machines, screw extruders, compounding systems and other mechanical equipment. The central element of these machines is one or more rotating screws that are integrated in a plasticising unit.
In the plasticising unit, the material is melted and homogenised by the rotating screws. The rotating movement of the screws ensures that the moulding compound is heated and mixed evenly. This process is essential for the production of plastic parts, as it ensures that the material acquires the desired physical properties.
Injection moulding machines use this technology to inject molten material into moulds and thus produce precisely shaped plastic parts. Screw extruders, on the other hand, are used to continuously produce long strands or profiles from plastic. Compounding systems combine various materials and additives to produce customised plastic blends.
