Perthometer

A Perthometer is a measuring instrument used to examine and analyse the surface condition of workpieces. More precisely, it is a stylus instrument that records the roughness and waviness of surfaces. A fine stylus tip travels over the surface of the object being tested and measures the differences in height.

These measurements are recorded and evaluated electronically in order to produce an accurate profile of the surface structure.
