Masterbatch
Masterbatches play a decisive role in plastics processing. They are special additives or colour pigments that are bound into polymers at a high concentration. These are added specifically during the processing of plastics in order to give them certain properties or to achieve uniform colouring.
The use of masterbatches offers numerous advantages. On the one hand, they enable precise dosing and mixing of the additives, which increases process reliability. Thanks to the concentration defined in advance in the masterbatches, exact control over the desired properties of the plastic is possible. In addition, the use of masterbatches facilitates the processing itself, as they are easy to handle and incorporate.
