LOM
LOM, short for Laminated Object Modelling, is an advanced method in the field of rapid prototyping that focuses on the fast and precise production of prototypes. In this process, layers of materials such as plastic, paper or metal are placed on top of one another and then bonded together.
Through the layer-by-layer build-up, LOM enables the creation of complex three-dimensional models with high accuracy and detail fidelity. A wide variety of materials can be used, depending on the requirements of the prototype.
A key advantage of LOM is the ability to produce prototypes in a relatively short time, which accelerates the development process and shortens the time to market. In addition, the process offers a good combination of strength, durability and surface quality, which makes it ideal for various applications in product development.
