Abbreviation

DIN ISO 1043 defines standardised abbreviations for plastics as well as code letters that identify specific properties of the plastics. This standard contains exclusively abbreviations that are generally recognised and in use. Its aim is to avoid both the use of several abbreviations for the same plastic name and the ambiguous interpretation of an abbreviation. This is intended to ensure clear and unambiguous communication about the properties and identity of the plastics.
