  3. Ball indentation hardness

Ball indentation hardness

Ball indentation hardness is an important physical parameter that describes the resistance a spherical body experiences when penetrating a material. It is a measure of how resistant a material is to external compressive loads and plays a decisive role in various industries, such as metallurgy, materials engineering and materials testing. This property makes it possible to characterise and compare the strength, hardness and ductility of a material, which in turn provides important information about its suitability for specific applications.
