Printing plate

A cliché is an essential component for pad printing or hot stamping, produced using various manufacturing processes such as photochemistry, milling or direct laser engraving. These precision forms are used to transfer the desired motif onto the printing material.

Depending on the production volume and the design of the motif, we select specific materials for the production of the clichés. For pad printing, clichés made of metal, aluminium oxide ceramic or photopolymer can be used. Each material offers different advantages in terms of durability, precision and cost.

For hot stamping clichés, metal is the predominant material. These clichés must be particularly robust in order to withstand the high temperatures and compressive forces that occur during hot stamping. Metal clichés are therefore the preferred choice for this application.
