HPL (high-pressure laminate sheets)
Properties of HPL HPL stands for high-pressure laminate sheets. HPL sheets are extremely robust, weather-resistant and durable. They are scratch-resistant, environmentally friendly and retain their surface even when deep scratches occur. HPL sheets are food-safe and are even suitable for hospitals. They withstand vandalism and graffiti, and stains can be removed with almost any cleaning agent. They can also be printed, which offers many design options.
What is HPL? HPL consists of more than 60% paper, a renewable raw material. The remaining 40% are special resins that make the sheet resistant. HPL meets the standards EN 438 and DIN 16926. It is regarded as a special plastic waste and can therefore be disposed of in household waste.
