Heat element welding
Heating element welding is used for plastic parts, without additives. A heated element, often a mirror, welds the joint surfaces by local heating to melting temperature. First the outer skin melts under low pressure to eliminate gaps, then the surfaces are pressed together until the plastic solidifies and the welded joint forms.
