Hot embossing
Hot embossing is a process in which a hot die is pressed into a plastic surface. A carrier film with a colour layer, metallic structure or a printed motif is used between the die and the plastic. The colour layer is transferred by pressure and heat, with the hot-melt adhesive of the colour layer being bonded to the embossing surface by heat.
