Moulded shapes

Continuous casting is a primary shaping process for producing semi-finished products from a continuous melt strand. In our plants, we use it primarily for round or rectangular semi-finished products in our standard production programme.

Originally from metalworking, the term has largely been replaced in plastics processing by semi-finished product extrusion.
