dielectric dissipation factor
Dielectric dissipation factor: measure of the energy absorption of an insulating material in an alternating field, converted into lost heat. Materials with a high dissipation factor are unsuitable for high-frequency insulation, except in high-frequency welding, where d should be > 0.01. The data sheet collection contains dissipation factors of the 150 most important thermoplastics and thermosets.
