Copolymers

Copolymers, also called heteropolymers, are thermoplastics composed of different monomers. There are various types of copolymers:

• Random copolymers: They contain randomly distributed monomer units.
• Alternating copolymers: Their monomer units are arranged in a regular alternating pattern.
• Block copolymers: They consist of larger blocks, each made up of one type of monomer unit.
• Graft copolymers: Branched monomer groups are attached to the polymer chain.
• Terpolymers: These copolymers consist of three different monomers.
