Carbon
Carbon is the English term for coalstoff. In various contexts, however, "carbon" can also refer specifically to materials or compounds based on carbon. For example, the term "carbon fibre" is used to refer to fibres made from carbon materials, which are widely used in various industries, such as aerospace, the automotive industry and sports equipment, due to their strength, stiffness and low density.
Carbon is also used in the form of carbon nanotubes and graphene in various high-tech applications, due to their unique physical and chemical properties.
