Blind embossing
Blind embossing is an embossing technique that does not require the use of ink or ink carriers. Instead, the material, often paper or card, is embossed by pressure and heat alone to create a raised pattern or inscription. This technique is frequently used in the printing industry, particularly in the production of high-quality packaging, letterheads, invitations and business cards.
The term "blind embossing" refers to the fact that the embossing is carried out without the visual effect of ink. Instead, the focus is on the texture and the relief created by the embossing. This gives the end product an elegant and appealing feel that is often perceived as luxurious. Blind embossing can include various designs, logos or typefaces and is often used to highlight a product or brand and leave a lasting impression.
